Is Plies's Single,"Shawty" A Love Song Or The Perfect Soundtrack To A 'Hood Porno Flick?

There is a guilty pleasure when I was listening to "Shawty" from Fort Myers, Florida native layers. On the one hand, a music track, catchy hook sung R & B's hottest singer at the moment, T-Pain and welcoming music video complete with cars, jewelry, celebrity cameos, dense attractive woman and a swimming pool, corresponding to what appears to be perfect formula for a hit record on the radio, on the charts, the music cable network and on the streets these days.

On the other hand, many listening to the song lyrics would be found offensive and degrading to women (which includes a music video), and yet every time he played on the radio I turn up the volume every time I uhvatitiglazba video cable is some just say it was a "must see TV ".

I've said before that the Hip-Hop, whether it is uplifting, militant, political, humorous, ready-made for a nightclub, "gangsta", or "audio pornography" is very seductive. Even "anti-hip-hop, " listeners will find it damn near impossible not to tap your feet or bop your head to the beat. And if he does not know or even understand the lyrics in the lyrics, he will be able to pick a word (or at least be able to hum a tune) to a catchy chorus.

But I'm not anti-hip-hop listener. I love hip-hop. I've always been a kind old soul greatly influenced by 60-and 70-by R & B / Soul music, and even my generation and a large part of my own identity has been shaped by the life of Hip-Hop Culture, and the sound of his music. Since I am loyal fan of Soul music in which most of the topics center around love and romance, the song Hip-Hop love has always been a favorite of mine. There was a lot of love songs in hip-hop, but of course the most well-known, documented and celebrated one of "I Need Love" by LL Cool J.

Well, the "Shawty" is "I Need Love "!

L.L. master of music Hip-Hop love. First of all, as its name suggests, Cool J gets much love from the ladies. But he lived up to their complaints and developed a reputation for writing and performing romantic, honest songs about love and relationships. texts for many of LL's love songs could be sung as an R & B songs for Marvin Gaye or Luther Vandross, without reservation. LL knows how to make the kind of songs that will have mass appeal to women regardless of race, age or geography.

But to keep it all real time, LL has made a "love songs" that are more about lust than love "Back Seat" ("In my jeep .... let's swing an episode"), immediately comes to mind. Plies's "Shawty" is more "Back Seat", but "I Need Love. " The song is basically about a guy who is fooling around with another man girl. The relationship is far from serious and lyrics for the song details of Plies own episodes of raw, uncensored and unadulterated sex ...

"The first time I grabbed her shit, she did not even know how to throw it back
Now the animals, I got her real Sex Video
I taught her how to talk to me, and pipes it Take
Her & opened and showed her what real Nig * Like
I told her I do not usually do this, I do not fu * k on first night
Cause After I Beat Ya Baby I'm responsible for the fu * k Up Ya Whole Life
I got her trained, now she suck me with ice
I told her to contact the My Lil Bust It Baby because it Hold Tight ...."

Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a love song!

"Shawty" is a perfect song to play in the background during the freaky sex scene in an average bootleg, "hood porn flick! It's not exactly the kind of song that puts a newlywed couple to set a romantic mood on their wedding night. The song was made for late night booty call. As you can tell from the above excerpts, the texts are explicit and not suitable for the ears of the junior high school children. Of course, let's not fool ourselves, junior high school children are likely to Plies' biggest fan!

"Shawty" is a song for adults though and I know that I not only for adults-30 years and over who enjoy this song. What is it about "Shawty, " which is the appeal? Is this music track? Is it a catchy hook sung "electronic " sounds T-Pain? Is it plies the swagger?

There are many listeners who are related to the type of sex-talk in rhymed "Shawty". Like it or not, there are more relationships based entirely on the raw sex than those based on serious, long-term real love. People, young and old, are deep and sometimes dangerous are involved in the orbiting late night wild, semi-Capades. Details of these types of activity room often remain secret or reserved for the men's locker room.

But hip-hop artists are going to say what no one else is willing to say, is not it?

Yes and no.

"Shawty" actually follows a long line of songs, from rock, pop, blues and hip-hop that are filled with explicit, raw, down-and-dirty lyrics about sex. Some of these songs are celebrated as art, while others were dismissed as pornography. I'm not one to make such a distinction. I will say that the songs that talk about "love and happiness" (as Al Green would say) are universally accepted and respected, because they reflect what most of us apparently want to say from our relationship.

Musically there is nothing better than a nice, well written, well organized and well-performed love songs. I'm not knocking rock, pop or any other genre, but I personally believe that the greatest love songs come from R & B and Soul music, songs recorded singers like Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Isley Brothers, etc. But I also think that some of the best hip-hop songs ever made about love and romance.

I must be honest in saying that the love song is just not what it once was. I almost feel bad for the younger generation of music fans who can not hear well enough written, well organized and well run an honest love songs but they "dig in the crates" of their parents' old records and listen to "old school" radio station. For example, there are texts on some of today's so-called R & B / Soul music, and they are just as explicit, or sometimes more than anything I'd heard on hip-hop record.

Although the text of the "Shawty" are definitely off fans of more conventional romantic love ballads, the fact that a hypnotic song in heavy rotation on radio stations across the country and is quickly becoming one of the most downloaded songs on the internet, shows that's pretty big audience for the music more about wild, crazy and freaky sex with no strings attached than those songs about a passionate and committed to true love.
